If you’re anything but a certain shade of white, it can be hard to find gorgeous nude lingerie. But thanks to our handy guide, you’ll be able to find the perfect nude look that flatters your figure and your complexion. We’ve been all over the internet looking for the best styles — some sexy and some understated — so you’ll never have to wear someone else’s skin color again.
Parade
We think this brand might be named for the Parade of colors in its nude lingerie collection. It’s more everyday than super-sexy, but Julia Fox went grocery shopping in Alexander Wang’s upcoming understated lingerie collection, so who are we to make that call? Try one of Parade’s bestselling nude bras, like the seamless Universal Triangle Bralette or the Seamless Universal Plunge in Naked. Both styles come in four shades, sizes 32A-42F. And you’ll be able to find matching thongs and hip-huggers.
Nude Barre
Nude Barre has 12 different nudes to choose from, and they’ll even match your skin tone with AI or a basic quiz. As for bras, you can only choose from two bralettes, but they make up for the lack of options up top with a variety down low, including girlshorts and fishnets. They also have a basic cami. You can even find an ambassador wearing the color you’re interested in, which will help you determine your best bet.
Nubian Skin
Created by Ade Hassan for women of color, Nubian Skin comes in four shades — cafe au lait, caramel, cinnamon, and berry. There are many styles to choose from, too, from multi-way push up to bralette. Their bralettes cover sizes XS-XXL, wired sizes range from 30D-40F, and all band sizes come in DD+. Nubian Skin also has a collection of killer nude bodysuits and underwear to fit any mood.
Skims
If you don’t mind paying for Kim K.’s next collagen injection, you gotta check out Skims. With eight different shades of nude lingerie and a range of styles from shapewear to a quarter bra, you can’t miss. Apparently, no one else is missing either, so some of the most popular styles sell out fast. Especially the Fits Everybody T-Shirt Bra. You’ll fare better in the size department at Skims’ panty shop, where you can get three pairs for $36. If you can manage to snag your bra size, we think this is a fabulous option for nude lingerie in lots of tones.
BARESKYNN
So you need to go braless, but you also need a lift? BARESKYNN has boob tape and nipple pasties in six nude shades and multiple sizes (we’re talking wide tape), making it easy to bare a little skin — whatever yours looks like, whatever your size, and whatever your look.
Gugu Intimates
Gugu Intimates was founded to provide high-quality nude lingerie in a range of shades. According to their website, “Gugu” translates to “your object of desire.” We think you’ll know what we mean as soon as you see the minimalist staples: A t-shirt bra, strapless bra, seamless brief, and thong. The company is based in South Africa, but they ship anywhere in the world via DHL for about $39. Sizes run 32A-36D, and you can shop by shade or style.
Cosabella Skin Tones
Cosabella’s Skin Tones collection is like everything else they create: Irresistible. And it comes in seven gorgeous nudes. The sizing isn’t as full spectrum as the colors — for example, the mesh Soire Confidence Molded Underwire, which we consider the most versatile option, is only available in 30C-36G. (Pair with Soire Confidence Boyshort, G-string, or Thong.) But, their Never Say Never Curvy Plungie Longline Bralette is available in Curvy, Extra-curvy, and Extended. The Extended version, however, only offers a few shades of nude, and none of them are darker skin tones. If you have a smaller band size, you’ll likely be able to find your color, but we’d love to see all the tones in extended sizing.
Baserange
There’s only one bra to feature from Baserange, but we think the Soft Bra is worth talking about. It comes in six shades of nude and sizes XS-XL. The brand claims that it works for large cup sizes, but we think you’ll have to try it, especially if you have a smaller band size — the band isn’t adjustable. Match with the Bell Pants, Elastic Bell Pants, or High Waist Bell Pants.
CUUP
CUUP is a minimalist lingerie line with a core group of neutrals available in all their bras: demi, balconette, scoop, plunge, and triangle. They have an extensive size range — 30A-44H — and you can even get a bra in 30H, which we assure you is rare. Their nude bras come in a few browns — clay, taupe, and espresso — plus blush, which we find a viable nude alternative for those with lighter skin tones. While we’d be more excited if CUUP had another brown or two in the collection, we think it’s worth a look, especially if you wear a hard-to-find size. Match with any of their five styles of bottoms.
Conclusion
It’s still not the easiest to find nude lingerie for every skin tone. We think this space has room for improvement, especially in the extended and small band/big cup arena. But we hope this list of companies gets you filling your lingerie drawer with nudes that disappear under sheer and white clothing. And if you can’t find what you need, maybe you’re the one who can bring more nudes into the world of lingerie!
